Île-de-France Region Innovators’ Prize 2025: LPP in the Spotlight
The Innovators’ Prize 2025 of the Île-de-France Region was awarded to Thierry Dufour, Associate Professor at LPP, who received second place for his work on the development of a cold plasma endoscopic catheter designed for the local treatment of digestive cancers (iledefrance.fr).
This distinction, accompanied by financial support, recognizes research carried out in close collaboration with Marine Camus (Professor of Medicine, Hôpital Saint-Antoine), Laura Fouassier (Inserm researcher, NABI Laboratory), Manon Soulier (postdoctoral fellow, LPP), and Korentin Geraud (doctoral candidate, LPP).
Within LPP, this achievement illustrates the ability of ongoing research to combine fundamental studies with technological innovations of strong societal impact. The prize also confirms the relevance of collaborative work bringing together physicists, clinicians, and biologists to open new therapeutic perspectives.
This recognition marks an important milestone for the project’s development and testifies to the institutional support given to efforts in knowledge transfer and translation into medical practice.
