Our supervisory institutions

The LPP is a Joint Research Unit (UMR). In addition to the CNRS, the laboratory is affiliated with four academic supervisory institutions.

  • The CNRS is a primary supervisory institution of the LPP. The laboratory is affiliated with CNRS Engineering, as well as CNRS Earth & Universe and CNRS Physics.

  • École Polytechnique is also a primary supervisory institution of the LPP. The laboratory is attached to the Department of Physics. École Polytechnique is itself part of the Institut Polytechnique de Paris.

  • Sorbonne Université is another primary supervisory institution of the LPP. The laboratory is affiliated with the Faculty of Science and Engineering.

  • Université Paris-Saclay is a secondary supervisory institution of the LPP.

  • The Observatoire de Paris is also a secondary supervisory institution of the LPP.
